François-Régis Laporte was born in France in 1979 and raised in an entrepreneurial
industrial environment with close ties to the graphic arts.
Surrounded by literature and publications of all kinds from an early age, he developed a wide range of artistic passions from theater plays and paintings to interior, garden and fashion design…
His first career steps were as assistant of Jean-Claude Chiroutte with Group 22V who managed the press relations for the houses John Rocha, Karl Lagerfeld, Olivier Strelli, Bill Tornade, and at which time he was accepted directly into second year of training at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
During his final year of study, he became the first assistant to Elena Nazaroff, ex-artistic director of house of Jacques Fath. From whom and above all he retains one of her favourite quotations :"There is always a solution!"
After graduating in 2000, he became assistant to Delphine Murat, a young fashion designer who is today reputed for her leggings and minisocks.
He then joined the BMCS Showroom team which manages press relations and distribution activities for Nicolas Le Cauchois, Lee Young Hee, Muji, Pantone Universe, Chine Collection...
In january 2003, Bjorn and Teis Bruun, co-founders of the Scandinavian brand Bruuns Bazaar, requested he open their Parisian showroom. For 3 seasons, he successfully managed communications and sales resulting in the 3rd best turn over figure of the whole group.
In 2004, he met Alain Gossuin with whom he created the Gossuin clothing line for men, manufactured and distributed entirely in France. In only 6 years the line was present in more than 20 countries and 90 creators’ multi-brand stores.
On June 9th, 2011 he founded Maison F.
